The Principality of Monaco: Ambassador Lavezzo meets with the Director of the International Cooperation, Ms. Benedicte Schutz
Monaco - A few days ago the Italian Ambassador to the Principality of Monaco, Mr. Massimo Lavezzo, met the Director of the International Cooperation of the Monaco Foreign Affairs Department, Ms. Benedicte Schutz, to assess the state of affairs of the bilateral agreement for the Development Cooperation, following the implementation of the agreement signed in Monaco on 31 March.
Ms. Benedicte Schutz said that she was particularly happy with the joint projects developed to date and announced that next month she will accompany the Director General of the Foreign Affairs Department, Ms. Isabella Rosabrunetto, in a visit to assess projects under way in Burkina Faso. Ms. Schutz also proposed a joint Italy-Monaco bid for a project in 2018 that is yet to be defined, open to the NGOs in the two countries and partly financed (30%) by the Government of Monaco. She also announced that in 2017 the NGO "Rondine Cittadella della Pace" will use a donation by the Monaco Cooperation (10,000 euro) for a study grant to be assigned to one or more young people in Southern Mediterranean countries.
According to the Director of the International Cooperation of the Monaco Foreign Affairs Department who also announced a visit to Italy in Autumn 2016, the time has come for further consolidation of the relationship between the two cooperation bodies.
